A software tool has been developed for the automatic detection of root canal orifices in video images.
The software communicates via laptop and USB with an intraoral camera. Histological verification revealed a sensitivity of approximately 91-93%.
A new software allows automatic storage of location, size and orientation of the found structures with this software can be used for future anatomical studies.
